How TZA works

1. TZA is an easy-to-use and free service. There's no app to download — rather, all interaction with the service happens over text with our phone number, 844-997-4214. 

2. It's customizable and easy to opt out. You can add or remove relevant streets over text, and if you don't like a particular text-line that you signed up for initially, you can opt out of it by texting the number "No more [tip line name, e.g. what's happening, occupancy permit reminders, etc.]". Or you can opt out of the entire thing by texting "I'm out".

3. It's improving and growing — every few months, we add a new service that improves the effectiveness of the service. Also, as our subscriber base grows, our real-time alerts become more effective and TZA founders can build a stronger case for parking enforcement reform with city officials.

Are you a resident that would like to see this initiative grow and become more effective? 

Get in touch to help us the spread the word by posting flyers on community bulletins around Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, and Chelsea.

And, power our "real-time alerts" by texting in illegally-parked license plates on your morning stroll, when walking your dog, or whenever you notice someone's egregious parking error!

1. First, take a deep breath. Remember: it happens to the best of us. We've been there *one* too many times.

2. Find out where your car was towed. Cities' websites can help.

   • If you were towed in Boston, go here.

   • If you were towed in Cambridge, go here.

   • If you were towed in Somerville, contact Pat's Towing.
